The Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henri received the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović and the First Lady Milena Milatović, it was announced from the Information Service of the President of Montenegro.
"During the conversation with the Grand Duke, President Milatović thanked Luxembourg for its past support to Montenegro and expressed the expectation that the country will continue to support the reform path of our country even more strongly," the announcement states.
Milatović said that he was looking forward to the further strengthening of friendly ties and, as he added, the improvement of the overall cooperation between Montenegro and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
"I am convinced that with this visit we will give a significant impetus to that, and through the consideration of common ideas and initiatives, we will contribute to the further prosperity of our countries and peoples," said Milatović.
Milatović, as stated, invited the Grand Duke for an official visit to Montenegro "which was accepted with pleasure".
As the announcement adds, Milatović also talked about the events in the region during the conversation, where he pointed out that "Montenegro is determined to contribute to the strengthening of peace and stability in the Western Balkans."
