The Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA) announced today that it has decided not to be part of the new government.
The party headed by Mehmed Zenka told Vijesti that seven days ago they held a session of the party's Main Board where they unanimously decided not to support "this new constellation of the Assembly and the government" because, as they stated, it is completely contrary to their program and ideological principles and principles.
"We were willing to help by participating in a government (without a ministerial post), where the spirit of civic Montenegro would prevail, but unfortunately there was not enough strength and readiness, so the ideas and forces that lead Montenegro to fight for survival prevailed. We hoped these days that reason and the idea of a multinational citizen Montenegro will still prevail, but in vain," reads the DUA announcement.
They state that "therefore, the decision of the Main Board remains in force that DUA has nothing to look for in the company of backward and retrograde policies, which move Montenegro further and further away from Euro-Atlantic ideas every day".
"DUA remains faithful to its principles, that only a civil and Euro-Atlantic integrated Montenegro can be a guarantee of survival," the DUA statement concludes.
