The Montenegrin Conservative Party (CKP) announced that on January 22, 2024, a blockade in front of the Court for Misdemeanors in Podgorica.
The reason, as they stated, is "providing public and practical resistance to the discrimination that this court is planning to implement against the professor of the Faculty of Montenegrin Language and Literature (FCJK) Boban Batrićević.
According to the press release, the decision was made after the CKP board meeting.
"The blockade will last during the working hours of the court of the same name. The reason for the blockade is to provide public and practical resistance to the discrimination that this court is planning to carry out against FCJK professor Dr. Boban Batrićević. It does not matter whether it is a professor or a farmer, it is important that the authorities are using fascist methods against a Montenegrin for expressing his opinion," the CKP statement reads.
They add that they don't know Batrićević, but that if "this kind of injustice is allowed to go unopposed, then it goes without saying that everyone else is a legitimate target."
