Elected 44rd Government of Montenegro

The Assembly elected the 44th Government of Montenegro this morning.

46 MPs voted for the election of the new Government, 19 were against, and one abstained.

The Prime Minister is the leader of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Milojko Spajić.

Ministers from PES are Filip Ivanović (foreign affairs), Maida Gorčević (European affairs), Anđela Jakšić Stojanović (education, science and innovation), Novica Vuković (finance), Filip Radulović (transport), Andrej Milović (justice), Janko Odović (spatial planning, urban planning and state property), Vojislav Šimun (health), Naida Nišić (labor and social care) and Saša Mujović (energy and mining).

The President of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, is the Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Internal Policy, European and Foreign Affairs, and Momo Koprivica is the Deputy Prime Minister for the Political System, Justice and Anti-Corruption.

Dragan Krapović is the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Martinović is the Minister of Tourism, Ecology and Sustainable Development, while Tamara Vujović is the Minister of Culture and Media.

The Minister of Internal Affairs is Danilo Šraranović.

Boris Bogdanović was planned for the position of Minister of the Interior, but he announced the night before last that he was withdrawing "due to the complications of the health condition of two members of the closest family".

The Democrats proposed another candidate for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Šaranović, the current deputy mayor of Podgorica.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Labour, Education, Health and Social Affairs is Srđan Pavićević from CIVIS.

As for the Albanian parties, Nika Đeljošaj is the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development, Fatmir Đeka is the Minister of Human and Minority Rights, and Maraš Dukaj is the Minister of Public Administration.

The President of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) Vladimir Joković is the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, and the Vice President of the SNP Dragoslav Šćekić is the Deputy Prime Minister for Demography and Youth and the Minister of Sports and Youth.
