The session of the local parliament, at which the new president of the Municipality of Kolašin should be elected, is scheduled, according to the urgent procedure, for Saturday, November 4.
There are 20 councilors of the ruling majority (Democratic Montenegro, United Montenegro, New Serbian Democracy, Democratic People's Party, Europe Now Movement, Socialist People's Party and Citizens' Movement URA) for this position, as well as the holder of the opposition list of the "For our Kolašin" group of voters. Momčilo Vukčević, proposed by Petko Bakić.
Bakić is the long-term president of the Municipal Board (MOB) of Democratic Montenegro, and as he writes in his biography, submitted with the proposal, he graduated from a mechanical engineering school.
The candidate for the new President of the Municipality was born in 1968 and is employed in the Protection and Rescue Service.
He was also a member of the Democratic Party, is married and has three children.
At the same session of the Municipal Assembly (SO), the previous President of the Municipality, Vladimir Martinović, will resign from that position.
He assumed the position of Minister of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North.
