The leaders of the countries of the region congratulated Prime Minister Milojko Spajić on his election to the post.
As announced by his cabinet, the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, wished Spajić success in his work.
Plenković said that he is convinced that relations between the two countries will continue to be built in a sincere good-neighborly spirit.
"As well as that our cooperation will bring further positive steps in bilateral relations. On this occasion, I want to emphasize Croatia's strong support for Montenegro's European path," said Plenković.
Spajić's cabinet said that the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovačevski, expressed his best wishes and willingness to strengthen cooperation with Montenegro.
"I use this opportunity to express my interest and commitment to further work on deepening the overall cooperation between North Macedonia and Montenegro in all areas of mutual interest, especially on the way to the full integration of the two countries into the EU, with further sharing of experiences, common European values and benefits" , Kovačevski wrote.
In the congratulatory message of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, it is stated, among other things, that the Albanian population in Montenegro is a stable bridge of friendship and an important factor of stability, peace and integration.
"I use the opportunity to confirm my position and that of the Government of Albania to expand and further intensify the relations between the two countries. Our cooperation, as well as cooperation with other countries in the region, will speed up appropriate reforms for our priority integration agenda," said Rama.
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, said that she expects that the two countries will continue to deepen cooperation, improve the living standards of citizens and strengthen regional connectivity.
Brnabić sent Spajić the best wishes for the successful performance of his duties.
Spajić's cabinet said that congratulations on his election to the post of prime minister also arrived from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
In her congratulatory message to Spajić, the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, stated that she is convinced that he will perform the duties of prime minister successfully and with dedication, as well as that future steps will be aimed at the well-being of all citizens of Montenegro.
"By deepening regional cooperation, mutual understanding, exchange of experience and knowledge, we are sending a positive signal to other countries in the region that together we can achieve more, all in order to achieve our common vision of a stable, prosperous and European future of the Western Balkans," said Kristo.
The Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Majlinda Brega congratulated Spajić on his recent appointment as Prime Minister of Montenegro.
RCC, as she said, values Montenegro as a key partner in joint efforts to improve the stability and overall prosperity of the region.
"Montenegro's role in the RCC and its active participation in the Cooperation Process in Southeast Europe are truly commendable," she wrote to Bregu.
