Ambassador of the United States of America, Judy Reising Rajnke, said that the illegal activities of Branislav Mićunović and Miodrag Davidović enabled corruption and undermined democratic institutions, which opened the door to malignant Russian influence.
She said this at the conference "Local public broadcasters - a new perspective".
The United States of America imposed sanctions on Mićunović and Davidović yesterday, due to, as stated, their connection with crime and Russia's malicious influence in the region.

"The goal of the activities based on two executive orders of the American Government is really an attempt to support peace, stability and the fundamental functioning of democratic institutions in Montenegro, that is our goal," answered Rajing Rajnke to the question of TV Vijesti.
She added that she encourages the Government of Montenegro to get seriously involved and ensure that the citizens of Montenegro trust their institutions and leaders.
"In order for this country to achieve its goal - entry into the European Union," concluded Rajing Rajnke.
