Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have exceptional bilateral relations, and it is time to take a step forward.
This was announced at a meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Branimir Jukić.
"There were talks about the possibility to cooperate in projects related to road infrastructure and energy, which, according to the interlocutors, will connect the region with the European Union (EU)," the announcement reads.
Spajić said that we currently see a different energy from the European Union and "we really think that this is a chance for us and for the entire region".
We firmly believe that joining the EU is an opportunity to stabilize the region, he added and said that BiH can count on us in every possible segment.
Jukić pointed out, as stated, excellent relations at all levels.
"We really wish good luck to Montenegro on its European journey. We have always supported Montenegro, as the leader of integration in the region, but even before that. The entry of your country would be a great thing for the EU, because the enlargement policy is one of their most successful stories, it is good for Montenegro, and ultimately for Bosnia and Herzegovina, because everyone will see that the reforms pay off", Jukić said.
The press release also states that numerous models of cooperation were discussed and more specific details were announced.
