On the occasion of the election of the 44th Government, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić was sent congratulations by the Prime Ministers of the Baltic countries, the Cabinet of the Prime Minister announced.
"Support for Montenegro's further path towards the European Union (EU), along with sincere congratulations on the election as Prime Minister, was sent by the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonite," the announcement reads.
It is added that she said that Montenegro's membership in the EU will lead to the prosperity and security of the entire Western Balkans.
"Lithuania is looking forward to the strengthening of friendly bilateral ties between our two countries," the congratulatory message reads.
The Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Silina, said that she is convinced "that relations between our countries will continue to develop" to mutual satisfaction and, as she said, in the interest of a united and prosperous Europe.
"I wish you success and perseverance in the reform process on the way to full membership in the European Union. Latvia will continue to support the European integration of Montenegro and the European perspective of the Western Balkans," wrote Silina.
In the congratulatory message of the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kalas, it is stated that Estonia highly values the good cooperation between our two countries, bilateral and multilateral, as well as the alliance within NATO.
"We continue to strongly support Montenegro on its European path with the readiness to share our experience from the reform process and EU accession," reads the Estonian Prime Minister's congratulatory message.
