As announced by Democratic Montenegro, he was elected to that position at the Seventh session of the Municipal Board, when Dragan Tufegdžić resigned from the position of president.

Đurašković is the current director of the Post of Montenegro, and previously held the same position in the Regional Waterworks.
At the mentioned session, as stated in the announcement, decisions were adopted on the composition of the list of candidates for the president of Democratic Montenegro, delegates for the Third Congress, as well as members of the GO.
Aleksa Bečić was unanimously nominated as a candidate for the president of Democratic Montenegro, while Valentina Miniić, Dijana Pejović and Milan Nešković were nominated as members of the GO Democrats on behalf of the bar committee.
"The municipal board also expanded the executive board at the local level, adding two new members: Milica Rukavina and Nikola Dragišić.
