The Social Democrats of Montenegro announced that all the control mechanisms needed for quality implementation of the census had been agreed upon.
Those control mechanisms, as they stated, have been adequately implemented and, as they point out, they state with satisfaction that the conditions for the population census to begin have been met.
"It is important to remind that, just a month ago, after the new government was elected, we started from scratch. The opposition did not have a single control mechanism on the basis of which we could monitor the implementation of the census and, ultimately, the entry of the obtained data and their publication. Today, we have representatives in all census commissions, instructors and enumerators chosen on a parity basis, the obligation to manually count a certain sample of data, as well as created all the prerequisites for creating reliable software with which all citizens will be able to check the accuracy of the entered data," it was announced from SD.
They also add that, bearing in mind the overall situation regarding the census, calls for a boycott, as well as doubts that adequate conditions for maintenance can be created in a short period of time, they fully understand the doubts of a certain number of people about the process.
"And yet, bearing in mind the current situation, all the control mechanisms we have come up with and, ultimately, such an atmosphere in which the opposition will be able to fully control its implementation, we appreciate that participating in the census is in the interest of citizens of Montenegro. Therefore, all citizens and We invite the citizens to express themselves in the census, in order to obtain valid data for the creation of numerous development policies, and we invite the competent authorities to provide enumerators and instructors with adequate conditions for conducting the census, considering the weather (un)opportunities," the announcement concludes.
