Nenezić: Spajić deals a double blow to the educational community

With the budget proposal for 2024, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić is dealing a double blow to the educational community, Branislav Nenežić, MP of the Social Democrats of Montenegro, announced today.

"The way a society treats educators largely determines the further development and progress of that same society," said Nenezić in the announcement.

He added that in addition to the fact that there will be no agreed salary increase, which should have been the result of the new Branch collective agreement, because Spajić's budget does not register them, educators who have dedicated their working lives to the education and upbringing of Montenegrin children and youth, have only a few dozen euros higher than the minimum pension that will be paid in the following year.

"The results of the PISA test are reciprocal in relation to the attitude of the state towards the education system and education workers," said Nenezić.

Spajić and Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović will meet today with representatives of the Education Union, and during the meeting they will discuss the possibility of salary increases and transportation costs for educators.

Earlier yesterday morning, the Education Union, headed by Radomir Božović, announced that they were dissatisfied with the fact that the proposed budget for 2024 did not include an increase in wages for employees in education.
