The civil movement URA submitted an initiative for changes to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO), with the aim of increasing the pension for all pensioners evenly, i.e. with the same amount of increase for all pensioners.
URA MP, Miloš Konatar, said at the press conference that they believe that the increase is justified, but that it should be equal for everyone, reports TVCG.
He added that according to the model proposed by the Europe Now Movement, only minimum pensions are increased, and even in that case, pensions are not increased by the same amount, the RTCG portal reports.
"With our proposal, all pensions would be increased by 153,65 euros, so that everyone would be in the same position, and the condition that the minimum pension is 450 euros is also met," said Konatar.
He added that he expects support for that proposal.
"With this model, the average pension would amount to 580 euros, and the costs of the increase would amount to 140 million euros," said Konatar.
