The State Secretary in the Ministry of Education in the 43rd Government, Milijana Vukotić Jelušić, announced that the Government of Dritan Abazović signed the Branch collective agreement with educators, according to which the salary in education has been increased by 2023 percent for the year 20.
"It is planned that for 2024 and 2025 the increase will be another 10 percent each," she said, it was reported from the GP URA.
She also said that this increase of "40 percent in three years would be the biggest that Montenegro remembers so far".
There is money in the budget to increase the salaries of educators, Vukotić-Jelusić said, adding that she does not allow "the manipulations of Prime Minister Spajić, who probably carried out the redistribution in a different way."
"She invited all parliamentary clubs to join the initiative and support the amendment of the URA Citizens' Movement parliamentary club to ensure the planned increase of 10% for educators for the next year," the announcement reads.
According to her, if we didn't take care of educators, we wouldn't take care of one sixth of the Montenegrin population that educators bring up and educate.
