The president of the club of SD-LP councilors in the Assembly of the Capital City, Miloš Mašković, was today ordered by the Basic State Prosecutor (ODT) to be questioned at the Podgorica Security Center following the report submitted by the "Kakaricka gora" JU, in connection with the case of drug abuse in that institution, it was announced. from Social Democrats of Montenegro
"First of all, my interest in the aforementioned public institution is based on the Statute of the Capital City and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Capital City. On the other hand, performing the function of president of the Club of SD-LP Councilors in the Assembly of the Capital City, seriously, responsibly and professionally, it was not possible without being worried by the newspaper articles that pointed to everything that later turned out to be true, i.e. that the wards and consumed narcotics within that public institution," Mašković announced.
He pointed out that he believes that this criminal complaint was filed with the intention of intimidating him and trying to put pressure on him so that he would no longer deal with irregularities in the work of the "Kakaricka Gora" JU.
According to reports, Mašković said that he appreciated the support that his colleagues from the opposition gave him on the spot.
"I want to mention that all my activities related to that public institution were carried out in accordance with valid legal acts, and I believe that abuse of institutions in this way is unacceptable. "It has never happened that a councilor was reported to the competent authorities just because he was critical of the work of an institution," Mašković said.
The announcement adds that he invited the President of the Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, and the Mayor of the Capital City, Olivera Injac, to "unambiguously declare the way a public institution, i.e. its director, treats a councilor who is just doing his job."
"In the end, I believe that this kind of behavior of the director of JU "Kakaricka gora" will only be an additional reason for his colleagues and fellow councilors to vote for his dismissal, which will be discussed at the next session of the Capital City Assembly scheduled for December 26," he said. Maskovic.
