The current president of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, was unanimously re-elected to that position, at the party's third congress.
At the congress, the presidency of the party was elected in the new convocation, and the general secretary of the party, Boris Bogdanović, was re-elected.
Two of the five party vice-presidents proposed by Bečić were elected - Momo Koprivica and Dragan Krapović. As Bečić said, the remaining vice-presidents will be elected after the end of the youth and women's congress and the creation of other assumptions, the leadership of the party will be fully equipped.
After his re-election to office, Bečić said that the time of anti-democracy and autocracy has passed and that Montenegro lives in freedom.
"We brought freedom together - political, social, economic, social, religious and legal. We brought what makes Montenegro eternal, because there is no eternal Montenegro without economically and socially empowered citizens, without socially and politically free citizens and without strong institutions. From strong citizens give birth to strong institutions, and from strong institutions, a true, genuine, independent, reconciled, civil and steadfast Montenegro is born," said Bečić.
Bečić said earlier during his speech at the congress that he will continue to build Montenegro as a country where jobs are clean.
"We have traveled a difficult path, but an honorable one," Bečić said at the party's third congress.

"I invite you, regardless of your current roles, to unite around the European future of Montenegro," said Bečić.
He said that in Montenegro no one will be stronger than the state, law and justice.
"I give you my word," said Becic.
