Clubs of councilors of PES and Democrats in Pljevlja concluded an agreement on cooperation

Clubs of councilors of the Movement Europe Now and the Democrats in the Assembly of the Municipality of Pljevlja, which are part of the local government in that city, concluded a Cooperation Agreement. The agreement was signed with the aim of joint realization of program goals through an agreed approach and mutual support of the clubs within the parliamentary majority in the Pljevlja Municipal Council.

"The signatories of the Agreement undertake to take a common position and act in sync with the aim of: encouraging the development strategy of the municipality of the parliamentary majority in the municipality of Pljevlja, ensuring the proportional representation of clubs in all spheres of local government, independence in the media presentation of achievements, equal and proportional personnel policy within the parliamentary of the majority, implementing and encouraging infrastructure projects, encouraging equal and fair allocation from the Municipality's budget for consumer units and local public enterprises in accordance with real needs and regulations, establishing a policy of preserving the civic concept and respecting multi-ethnic and multicultural harmony in the municipality of Pljevlja,'' the announcement states. .

The signatories pointed out that they remain strongly committed to the parliamentary majority, but also to the idea of ​​improving the work of local authorities through the establishment of the principle of proportional participation in all decisions and all spheres of work, of all political entities that constitute the ruling majority.

"This agreement will give new value to the parliamentary majority and overall local government in Pljevlje. Bearing in mind that according to the results of the local elections, not a single political party or coalition has even close to the support for independent exercise of power, and thus neither the right of primacy within the framework of the parliamentary majority or the exercise of power , that is, in order to preserve the interests of the municipality of Pljevlja and all its citizens, it is necessary to cooperate on the principles of proportionality and common coordination in making all decisions, which the signed Agreement will especially ensure and provide.

"For the sake of the public and other political entities from the parliamentary majority, we especially emphasize that this Agreement does not change the cooperation with the other clubs of the parliamentary majority, but especially emphasizes the principles and values ​​that we will stick to and which should be woven into the final Agreement of the total parliamentary majority, and especially the way exercise of power in the future. All decisions made by the Municipal Assembly of Pljevlja must be the result of the prior joint agreement of all members of the parliamentary majority that votes for them, both in the part of creation and in the part of implementation of the competent bodies of local self-government," the announcement states.

The agreement was signed by the president of the PES committee, Milomir Drobnjak, and the president of the Democrat committee, Božica Cvijetić.
