Political subjects in Montenegro are obliged to make a decision on the amount of the membership fee for this year by January 31 and submit it to the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK).

The Agency said that political subjects are obliged to do so in accordance with the Law on Financing of Political Subjects and Election Campaigns.

"The obligation applies to all political parties from the register of political parties, as well as political entities that have won mandates in the Parliament of Montenegro, that is, assemblies of local self-government units, regardless of whether or not they plan membership fees as a source of funding this year." , the announcement states.

KAS said that decisions on the amount of membership fees and non-payment of membership fees can be submitted to the Agency directly or by mail to the address of Kralja Nikole Street 27/V 81.000 Podgorica, or to the e-mail financija@antikorupcija.me.

"According to the Law, the Agency publishes decisions on its website within seven days from the day of receipt," said KAS.

They added that failure to fulfill that obligation entails misdemeanor liability.
