Obradović replied to Vučić: I am afraid that his interview partners are in prison or on the run

Assistant editor-in-chief of "Vijesti" Vukašin Obradović, commenting on Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's attacks on this newspaper and its editorial staff, says that he thinks that the Serbian head of state was annoyed by the fact that this time it was not about the political duels he was used to. He points out that he can't wait for Vučić to visit them and come to Podgorica.

Due to the article about Andrej Vučić, the brother of the President of Serbia and businessman Zvonk Vesilinović, which was published yesterday in "Vijesti", the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attacked Obradović and the founder and chairman of the Board of Managers of "Vijesti" Željko Ivanović this morning from Belgrade.

Vučić called Obradović "Đilas's editor", while Ivanović said that he would get an answer when he came to Podgorica.

In a statement to Nova.rs, Obradović says that it is interesting that in Montenegro, from the sovereignist bloc, this newspaper is being attacked as a Serbian and "pro-Vučić" media.

"I think that this fact tells about the position of 'Vijesti'. As for this specific statement of the President of Serbia, it belongs to his famous rhetorical trips in which he threatens to do this or that and that he will come to Podgorica. We can't wait to come and answer. It should not be a problem for him to answer from Belgrade either. Here he is not arguing with us, but with people from the criminal milieu who are actually talking about his brother and Zvonk Veselinović," says Obradović.

He added that "Vijesti" transmitted only part of the Sky correspondence in which the brother of the President of Serbia, Andrej Vučić, and the controversial businessman from Kosovo, Zvonko Veselinović, are mentioned.

"We will be happy to welcome Vučić here in Montenegro to answer us, but I am afraid that his interview partners are in prison or on the run, so I don't know what he could say," says Obradović.

He adds that he supposes that in this particular case he was struck by the fact that it is not the statements of politicians, because he can always place them in the context of a political struggle.

"However, this is a transcript of a conversation between people from the gray zone, and it is now more difficult for him to deny it because the people there do not have a specific political context. These are people who are not his political opponents, but people who have certain knowledge from that gray zone, in which, apparently, as they say, his brother Andrej, Veselinović and the rest of the team are also located," concludes Obradović.
