Member of the Assembly of the Capital City Nemanja Baošić he denied being involved in any corrupt activities and called yesterday's party colleague and the president of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević to prove the insinuations he made in the unsigned statement in court.
Baošić announced two days ago that, due to inconsistencies in the political views and decisions of the party's leadership in the past period, he made the decision to withdraw from the DNP and that he will continue his political engagement as an independent councilor.
The DNP issued a statement in which they called on Baošić to return his councilor mandate. They announced that "it is indicative that Baošić decided to take this sudden, unprovoked step, at the moment when DNP president Milan Knežević marked Dragan Bokan as the main brakeman in the demarcation between Zeta and Podgorica, and at the moment when there is a certain agreement between Zeta and Podgorica that disputed issues will be resolved by arbitration".
"I would especially refer to the part in which corrupt practices are insinuated. I absolutely deny the aforementioned and call on the president of the DNP to prove the mentioned allegations in court, and to personally stand behind his views, that is, not abuse the party of which he is the president..." Baošić told "Vijesta".
He called on Knežević "to accept the fact that there are people with a backbone and their own views, and people who are not ready to represent pawns on the chessboard, which in this case should have been used for a personal confrontation between Milan Knežević and the mayor of Podgorica Oliver Injac".
"For the sake of the public, the citizens of Podgorica, above all, I once again invite and encourage Mr. Knežević to prove the mentioned insinuations about corrupt actions in court, or else apologize in the media and admit that the mentioned allegations were the result of impotence and non-acceptance of the fact that Nemanja Baošić has her political stance, the courage to express it, and how he is not ready to succumb to any pressure", said Baošić.
The DNP told Vijesti that they will respond to Baošić's allegations today.
With the departure of Baošić from the party, the committee club of that party in the capital cannot even function. According to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Capital City, at least three councilors are needed to form a club, and with the departure of Baošić, two remained - a representative of the DNP and the Workers' Party. DNP yesterday did not answer the questions of "Vijesti" about how they will overcome this problem.

Baošić said that Knežević cleverly refused to sign the party's statement, stating that of all that was stated in the statement, the only correct information was that he had not been in the party's premises since December 23:
"But exclusively for health reasons, which I informed the work team about."
Baošić said that the announcement of the DNP states that he did not cover party functions, which, he said, is clearly denied by the fact that during all media appearances he was signed exactly as the president of the Youth Club, and in 2021 the announcement of the DNP about his appointment to the mentioned position is available. .
"The DNP can refer to the Statute in this part, but the fact is that my resignation, which I wanted to give before the recent congress, was not verified by the party authorities, and that the media columns and party announcements are the best denials of everything stated in the DNP announcement". said Baosic.
He pointed out that he will not return the mandate he earned through dedicated work, and that he will continue his political involvement as an independent councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City.
They will not make "arrangements with DPS"
Baošić emphasized that he has not and will never make any political arrangements with DPS:
"I remind the public that it was DPS and its Podgorica Municipal Board that started the court process against Nemanja Baošić after a video appeared in the media that clearly shows that DPS buys ID cards," said Baošić.
In the announcement of the DNP from two days ago, it was announced that at the first next meeting they will inform the coalition partners that the only acceptable thing for them is for Baošić to return the council mandate, and that otherwise, with the alienated mandate, he can only be a partner of the Democratic Party of Socialists, and not part of it at all. ruling majority.
