The membership of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) today elects the president and vice-presidents of that party by voting at polling stations or electronically, through an application available to members, until 20:XNUMX p.m., when the elections end.
In Nikšić, a large number of DPS members decided to go to the polling station, rather than vote electronically, and the president of the Municipal Board (OO) DPS Nikšić, and at the same time the president of the commission in the town under Trebjes, Zoran Vukićević, said that the people of Nikšić they like to vote, as well as to talk to the municipal leadership of that party, and that is why more of them decided to go to the polls.
"A large number of people vote, it's a nice place for our party and for me to see our members, talk to them. We all look forward when someone comes and somewhere is still closer to us to see each other and for people to vote for those people. A lot of people who voted said they had a smartphone but wanted to come and vote. The people of Nikšić like to vote," said Vukićević to "Vijesta" and added that everything is going well.
The candidate for president of that party is Danijel Živković, while six candidates are competing for four vice-presidential positions: Elvir Zvrko, Aleksandra Vuković Kuč, Abaz Dizdarević, Dušan Raičević, Jevto Eraković and Ivan Vuković.
"I believe that after these 15-20 days and the campaign that was conducted at the level of Montenegro and after the very nice, gentlemen's forum in Nikšić, and the message of all the candidates to vote according to conscience, that there are no losers here, but that we are all winners, that it will and to be", Vukićević is convinced.
DPS, as he said, favors young people and that's how it should be, but it doesn't forget those who created that party either.
"I believe that the young generation must stand up to our old members. It is the only recipe for the success of the family, the party, the institution and everything in the world. Maybe as someone who has been dealing with the elderly all his life, and I am slowly entering the third age of life, so I am even more interested, so we will never give up our elderly members. All over the world, the people you learned from are sitting in the front row. These are generations that deserve all respect," said Vukićević.
One of those who went to the polls and decided to vote for the party leadership is Predrag-Dragan Nikčević.
"I wanted to vote electronically, but it tells me that either my name or code is wrong, so I came to do it here. I expect the best to come and lead this party on its rightful path. I expect from the new leadership that the Democratic Party of Socialists will once again be what it is, all that it was and what it is, and that we destroy the narrative of the Democratic Party of Socialists as a criminal organization once and for all," said Nikčević.
"With today's party elections, the Democratic Party of Socialists introduces a new standard on the Montenegrin political scene and takes an additional step towards the further democratization of our society and the progress of Montenegro," announced the DPS.
