Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović immediately after taking office ordered to suspend and cancel all previous orders, when it comes to entering military facilities, including the military airport in Golubovci.
This is what the Ministry of Defense told "Vijesti" and added that the Minister of Defense ordered an analysis to be carried out with the aim of looking at the facts of who and in what way entered the military facilities for the stated purpose.
"Vijesti" announced on Sunday that the commander of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro (VVCG) is Lt. Col. Bojan Popadić granted permanent entry to the "Knjaz Danilo" military airport in Golubovci to a group of civilians, including former high-ranking officials of the Democratic Party of Socialists - the former Minister of Defense Predrag Boskovic and former director of the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism and the Directorate for the Diaspora Predrag Mitrovic. This is confirmed by the so-called list of persons from the "Recreational Group Mitrović" who are allowed to enter the airport area by vehicle "for the purpose of using the gym." The document, which "Vijesti" has access to, contains the names of 26 civilians and the license plates of most of their cars.
"Soon after assuming the duties of the Minister of Defense and reviewing the situation in the Department of Defense, and receiving information that certain persons, who are not members of the Ministry, are using facilities for sports and recreation in military facilities that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense, Minister Krapović urgently took the necessary measures and ordered that all previous orders, when it comes to entering military facilities, be suspended and put out of force. Therefore, the access of the persons to the Military Airport, which you mentioned in the text, was stopped long before the text was published in your newspaper", the Ministry said yesterday.
Prior to the publication of the text, the Ministry did not respond to the questions sent to "Vijesti" on January 30.
They claim that the persons on the list published in "Vijesti" were last registered on the application form of the "Knjaz Danilo" military airport on April 10, 2023, with the aim of using the gymnasium.
"The Commander of the Military Airport 'Knjaz Danilo' carried out the orders of his superiors," said the Ministry and added that during the entry and exit of persons and vehicles, these persons were controlled by the internal service.
The commander of the VVCG allowed the civilians, including two high-ranking DPS officials and some of their neighbors and friends, i.e. work colleagues in the institutions they previously managed, to use the gymnasium four times a week in the evening hours.

As "Vijesti" has learned, the list also includes some members of the MUP, such as pilots in the Air Helicopter Unit Drazen Vlahović, the former commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Croatia. He was in the center of public attention in September 2021 when, due to "worrying security assessments", he refused to transport dignitaries of the SPC - the patriarch - by police helicopter from Podgorica to Cetinje Porphyria and Metropolitan Joaniki of Montenegro, who was inaugurated on September 5 of that year in the Cetinje Monastery. Because of this, Vlahović was suspended from work and the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated disciplinary proceedings against him.
Article 44 of the Law on Defense stipulates that "access to military facilities and facilities designated as facilities of special importance for defense, as well as construction in areas adjacent to these facilities, is prohibited without the consent of the Ministry of Defense". Article 41 of the same law stipulates, among other things, that the Intelligence and Security Directorate (OBD) of the Ministry of Defense "performs the security protection of persons, facilities, assets and activities, as well as the performance of other security tasks in the Ministry and the Army", as well as that the OBD carries out "planning, implementation and control of security measures in the Army".
