Democrats launched an initiative to shorten the mandate of the Budva Municipal Assembly

The Budva Democrats, their four councilors, signed the proposal and thus launched an initiative to shorten the mandate of the Municipal Assembly.

Councilor Dragana Kažanegra Stanišić called on councilors to sign the initiative in the next three days. As she clarified, when they have 17 signatures of councilors, they will hand it over to the parliamentary service with a request for the urgent convening of a session of the local parliament.

The Democrats sent an invitation to the councilors of the coalition "Budva first - Milo Božović - DF", the Civic Movement URA and the councilor club "SNP - independent councilor Mladen Kažanegra". As they explained to "Vijesta", the invitation was not sent to the coalition gathered around DPS and SDP, because even at the last parliamentary session, DF councilors announced that they would not shorten the mandate of SO with DPS and SDP.

"Today, from this place, we are sending the proposed decision of the initiative on shortening the mandate of the Budva Municipal Assembly to all councilors from the list 'Budva in the first place - Milo Božović' with a request to the president of the Budva Municipal Assembly to deliver it to them electronically. We are directing it in this way for the reason that today we do not know with certainty which councilor is a member of which party or councilor club, but certainly all of them were on the mentioned list and the leaders of their parties within that coalition expressed their willingness and determination to in the name of overcoming the political crisis, mandates should be returned to the citizens, which we as a committee club have been calling for for the past eight months. We invite councilors to sign the proposed initiative, which our four councilors have already signed, in the next three days, February 22, 23 and 24, from 12 a.m. to 17 noon, in the premises of the Democratic Montenegro in Budva. Then when we have at least XNUMX signatures, which is the minimum required to adopt this decision in the Assembly, we will submit the initiative to the parliamentary procedure and request an urgent session with this item on the agenda. "After a series of announcements and publicly stated views of the former majority, we believe that signing this document would be the most responsible and moral act towards the citizens," she said.
