The Presidency of the Europe Now Movement (PES) yesterday excluded the current Minister of Justice Andrej Milović from the party, and one of the reasons for this is the alleged failure to extradite the Turkish citizen Binali Çamgoza Turkey.
The "Vijesti" source from PES said that the members of the PES Presidency also reproached Milović for his "reckless" statements in Croatia, the attack on the security sector, that is, "behavior that harms the party".
According to the Statute of PES, a member of the Movement may be expelled from the party if he grossly violates the Statute, Program or other acts of the party or by his behavior damages its reputation and property. Any member or body of the Movement can submit a proposal for exclusion, with an explanation and specific reasons, to the executive committee in writing. The decision on exclusion from membership is made by the executive board, and the final decision by the Presidency.
Another source from the top of the PES, when asked by "Vijesti" whether Milović violated the Statute, caused damage to the party's reputation or both, answered "that the consequence speaks for itself about the cause".
PES also announced that yesterday due to violation of the provisions of the Statute, the committees in Podgorica and Bar were dissolved.
The top of PES told "Vijesti" that it was a matter of "a little domestic preparation".
Yesterday, nobody from PES wanted to officially answer why Milović was dismissed and how many members of the Presidency were in favor of his dismissal. Milović also did not announce himself yesterday.
Milović traveled to Brussels yesterday on an official visit. In the Platform published on the Government's website, it was stated that he will be in Brussels from February 25 to 28 "for a meeting at the highest level with officials of the Brussels administration".
PES also announced the dismissal of Milović from the position of Minister of Justice.
"Mr. Milović's position in the Government of Montenegro will be open ahead of the planned reconstruction of the 44th Government, and in accordance with the achieved results in the areas of the rule of law and European integration," announced PES.
The Minister of Energy and Mining was proposed as a new member of the PES Presidency Saša Mujović.
As announced, the proposal of the Presidency will be considered by the competent party bodies.
"Political backbone" and "told-told" stories
Milović decided not to extradite Čamgoz, despite the opposing views of the Higher, Appellate and Constitutional Courts, as well as the Administrative Court in the proceedings in which his request for political asylum was rejected. Turkey is looking for him on charges of serious criminal offenses in the field of organized crime, while Milović refers to the European Convention on Human Rights and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, claiming that Çamgoz would be exposed to political persecution in Turkey because he is a Kurd, as well as in prison could not have proper treatment.
As "Vijesti" recently wrote, Turkey expects that Montenegro will find a way to hand over Čamgoz to it and that the case must somehow be resolved before the end of March, when Spajić should travel to the economic forum in Istanbul and meet with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The interlocutor from PES mentioned, as one of the "threatened investments", the road that would connect Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) with Kosovo via Pljevlja and Bijelo Polje, in which Turkish companies are interested.
During the discussion with MPs of the URA GP at the Constitutional Committee, Milović recently said that the attacks on him, the attacks on Milojko Spajić.
"You know that I am the political backbone of Milojko Spajić and that when you break that backbone, you have broken him. You can't do it, you have no evidence. As you staged the affair To Kwon... We will bring one man who will testify where you said who took him across the border, in which car. You may know who I mean. That man is from public life and is credible".
At the beginning of December, Milović "shaken up" the security sector, when he said in the Parliament that he would not be in the government if Predrag Šuković remains the head of the Special Police Department (SPO), targeting him as one of the alleged creators of the Do Kwon affair, which attempted to compromise Spajić before the parliamentary elections in June this year. Later, Milović announced "more details" about Šuković, with whom he exchanged serious accusations at the session of the Parliamentary Security Committee on February 9.
Milović accused the head of the SPO of cooperation with the Budva organized crime group (OKG) and the alleged disputed purchase of apartments below the price in Budva, precisely from people who are associated with the Budva criminal clan.
On the other hand, Šuković said that Milović was in contact with five or six criminal groups and provided information about the car in which, as he claims, drugs were found, which was traced to Milović... He also said that Milović asked that to his girlfriend MM the ban on entry into Serbia is lifted, even though he is listed as a security person of interest due to his ties to the top of the criminal clans.
At the press conference on the occasion of the 100 days of the Government, on February 10, Spajić, when asked whether Milović still has his trust, said that the work for closing the temporary benchmarks in chapters 23 and 24 is precisely in his department.
"The speed at which this pace of work is currently taking place is very intense. Surely in a month or two we will achieve much greater results in that sector than anyone before us. Let's focus on the results, not on the stories told. I would like if anyone has evidence against Mr. Milović to state it publicly, I am not interested in other stories. I am only interested in the work and results of him and every other member of the Government. If it is satisfactory, it will remain there until further notice, if it is not - it will not be".
When asked how he sees the accusations against Milović that he hangs out or has contacts with members of organized criminal groups, he replied that "for one second" he did not watch the session of the Security and Defense Committee, "nor will he ever watch it in his life."
He did not answer the question whether he thinks that Sukovic should be replaced.
Ćinćur is not even officially in PES anymore
Yesterday, as announced by PES, the presidency noted the resignation of the deputy president of PES Jakov Milatović. It was established that Radinka Ćinćur it is no longer officially part of the Movement's body.
Milatović resigned on Saturday, while Ćinćur, who Jevrosimom Pejović in October opposed the way of forming the 44th Government, part of the Independent Parliamentary Club in the Parliament.
The executive board noted that due to violation of the provisions of the Statute, the boards in Podgorica and Bar were dissolved.
"The Board of the Capital City has not been in session for more than a year," the announcement reads.
The president of the PES Board in Podgorica was Milatović.
"Vijesti" contacted some members of that Committee yesterday, but they did not answer questions about why it was dissolved and whether the reason was support for Milatović.
There are now 13 members in the Presidency
The joint photo of Spajić and Milatović still stood on the PES website yesterday, while the composition of the Presidency was changed during the day. Yesterday morning, the Presidency of PES had 14 members, and Milatović and Milović were among them. Later, the two were deleted from the list of members of the Presidency, and they were added as a new member Vlade Bojović who was elected as a member of the Presidency in November last year, and at the end of January as the director of the party.
There are now 13 members in the PES Presidency. In addition to Bojović, the members are Milojko Spajić, Olivera Injac, Filip Ivanović, Maida Gorčević, Boris Pejović, Vasilije Čarapić, Tihomir Dragaš, Filip Radulović, Branko Krvavac, Mirko Đukić, Anđela Jakšić Stojanović and Aleksandar Grgurović.
The president of the Bar Committee resigned from all party positions
Milos Pantovic, the former president of the Municipal Board of PES in Bar, yesterday resigned from all positions in the party, including a seat in the Main Board, and also resigned from membership in that party.
"A little over a year ago, when others didn't want to, some couldn't, I accepted the responsibility and was unanimously elected president of the OO PES Bar. My intentions were to support two young, professional, modern politicians whom I still think are the future of Montenegrin politics".
He added that, considering that one of them resigned from PES, and that "phenomena are happening in that party that are not in accordance with democratic principles", and that he cannot influence these phenomena, he feels partially responsible , and resigns.
He did not want to comment in detail on this move, as well as on internal relations in PES.
As "Vijesti" has unofficially learned from PES, the members of the bar board are not clear why the board was dissolved, since they met regularly and performed their duties. They believe that the members of the capital's board are close to Jakov Milatović, and that's why that board was dissolved.
The source "Vijesti" from PES claims that the support for Milatović in the bar committee is not absolute.
