Russian citizens living in Montenegro are going to the polls for the president of Russia today.
In Montenegro, voting in the Russian presidential elections was organized in the building of the Russian Embassy in Podgorica. The polling station is open from 20 a.m. to XNUMX p.m.
There are four candidates on the ballot, of which the only favorite is current President Vladimir Putin, who is on track to secure another six-year term.
There is no information on the website and social networks of the Embassy about the number of Russian citizens who have the right to vote in Podgorica, but it is known that about 27.000 Russians officially reside in Montenegro.
"So far, 5.000 Russian citizens have voted, and about 1.000 ballots are still left. Everything is in the best order so far, although we cannot see inside, we volunteers and employees of the Embassy are doing our job as best as we can and we have not registered any problems," she said. volunteer Evgenija.

Although the polls close only at 20:XNUMX p.m., most of the interlocutors with whom the team of the media agency Media Biro had the opportunity to speak pointed out that they believe that the results of the elections in Russia are already known.
"I fear that the results will not be counted correctly in Russia, but we hope that they will be legitimate in Podgorica. There are many voters against Putin here, but there are also those who support him. The results will be known after the polls close," said the volunteer. .
Today's vote in Podgorica attracted many Russian activists and journalists concerned about the regularity of the election.
"These elections are a total circus and a total fake, because in Moscow and the Kremlin they already have their numbers, they want to present that we voted for Putin. The results of the elections are in fact already known. With this event in Montenegro and other European countries, we want to show that there are thousands of people who are against him, who think that Putin is a war criminal who steals our freedom", said the editor of the independent online publication "The Insider", Oleg Pshenikny.

Among the banners could be seen the inscriptions "Putin's state takes away freedom and lives", "Putin is a tyrant, a murderer", pictures and drawings of Alexei Navalny were exhibited, songs were sung that said that the bad days would come to an end.
"I'm not sure that we can influence the results with our vote, but we try to do the best we can. We try to draw attention to everything that is happening in our country, even though we don't live there at the moment, we are still citizens and we try to do whatever we can for Russia. It is very important for us that we gathered here, I am glad that I met interesting people and heard their views", said the Russian citizen who currently resides in Podgorica.
The current Russian president, Vladimir Putin (71), who has been continuously in the position of president or prime minister for the past almost 25 years, is competing against three lesser-known politicians: the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Leonid Slutsky, the deputy speaker of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov, from the New People party, and State Duma deputy Nikolay Kharitonov from the Communist Party, whose political positions hardly differ from Putin's.
