Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said that he is focused on obtaining the Report on Fulfillment of Interim Benchmarks (IBAR) and delivering the results, and after that he will deal with other issues, including the reconstruction of the Government.
When asked whether he will raise the question of the reconstruction of the Government by June and receiving the IBAR, and who could possibly enter that Government, Spajić replied that he is absolutely focused on the IBAR.
"I think that the national interest is ahead of all political interests and that there is simply no place for politics. Now is the time to operate and deliver the results. When we get the results, we will deal with all other issues, but the most important thing is to get that result. As for the desired and undesirable, I think that anyone who supports that coalition agreement can potentially be our partner, but the most important thing is to say that the less numerous nations are very important in Montenegro and it is always important that they be part of the government. That is my opinion and that is the position of practically all politicians in Montenegro," Spajić said at a press conference with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar, who is visiting Montenegro.

The Presidency of Democratic Montenegro announced yesterday that it will provide temporary support to this government until the acquisition of IBAR, after which, as they said, a thorough analysis of the relations between the signatories of the Agreement will be carried out.

At the meeting between Spajić and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Sijart, which was held on March 14, it was stated that the first goal is for Montenegro to receive IBAR by June, in order to create space for the closure of certain chapters.
The news previously announced that Democratic Montenegro is against the entry of the Bosniak Party (BS) into the Government. BS is not a signatory to the coalition government agreement.

The text of the final agreement on the formation of the new government, published by Vijesti on October 19, foresees the reconstruction of the government.
In that agreement, it is stated that in accordance with the consistent and complete observance of all the provisions of this Agreement, the Prime Minister undertakes to propose, and the signatories of the Agreement to support the reconstruction of the 44th Government of Montenegro no later than the voting of the budget for 2025.
According to that agreement, the reconstruction of the government implies that the political entities New Serbian Democracy (NSD) and Democratic People's Party (DNP), which are part of the coalition For the Future of Montenegro, will propose candidates for more members of the government.
