We call on the Government of Montenegro to, in accordance with the law, facilitate the holding of the session of the Assembly of the Municipality of Šavnik, which is scheduled for today, and at which it is necessary to adopt decisions that would avoid the introduction of forced administration, announced the Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Aleksandar Bogdanović .
He said that the councilors of the DPS are determined to comply with the Government's recommendations and to avoid a scenario in which compulsory administration is introduced, however, as he states, since there are announcements that an attempt will be made to prevent the holding of the Assembly session, he calls on the Government and the Administration police to show seriousness and enable respect for law and order.
"Once again, we emphasize that we are committed to respecting the law and that we will prevent lawlessness and attempts to illegally hold new elections in Šavnik in every possible way. We will resolutely and to the end defend the principles and legal obligation to start and finish the elections," he writes. in the statement.
"Finally, if necessary, we warn the Government that we will be forced to implement on our own what is the responsibility of the Government and other law enforcement authorities," it concludes.
