Jakić: The institutions of the system showed powerlessness, would they react if 50 unauthorized citizens entered the state parliament

The President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Jugoslav Jakić, told "Vijesta" that today, for the umpteenth time, they lost their masks, and the institutions of the system showed their powerlessness and inefficiency.

Supporters and councilors of the opposition from Šavnik prevented the beginning of the session of the Šavnik Municipal Assembly today. Councilors of the Coalition for the Future of Šavnik request that the session be postponed because, as they claim, it was not scheduled according to the law, since eight days must pass from the date of the appointment, and it was scheduled for Friday.

"I ask the prosecutor's office and the police if they would react if 50 unauthorized citizens entered the state Parliament and what would be the difference between that and this case. Those whose list holders registered in Šavnik before the elections, whose lists include persons who also wrote before the elections, which registered more than 200 citizens in the voter's list, they are talking about political engineering", said Jakić and asked why none of the state authorities checked these statements of theirs.

As he pointed out, the second-level body, the State Election Commission, told the Municipal Election Commission more than 110 times that they had to schedule elections.

"In that institution sit their representatives who order that the irregularities be corrected, and their representatives in the Municipal Election Commission vote against," said Jakić.

He claims that it is not true that the session was scheduled illegally and that eight days must pass, because sessions can be scheduled by urgent procedure, as was the case this time.

"For the fifth or sixth time, we will appeal to the police to ensure that the session goes smoothly, and that the people who entered and are staying inside the assembly hall, as well as the local administration building, leave. Today, we managed to prevent our supporters from come, because we don't want to raise tensions. In relation to the actions of the police and the prosecutor's office, let's decide on the possible filing of reports," said the President of the Municipality of Šavnik and the holder of the list of DPS and SD in Šavnik.
