President Jakov Milatović informed the Minister of Foreign Affairs Filip Ivanović today that he agrees with the proposal of the names of the majority of candidates for ambassadors and heads of other diplomatic missions, which were presented by the Prime Minister and the Minister at the previously held foreign policy consultations.
"After the interview and a detailed introduction to the biographies of the 16 candidates, President Milatović agreed in principle with all seven proposals of career diplomats, but requested additional consultations regarding four of the nine previously proposed political appointments, in order to ensure quality filling of the vacant positions that were the subject of the first round of foreign policy consultations," the office of the President of Montenegro announced.
It is added that bearing in mind that the minister and the prime minister proposed personnel solutions for part of the DKP network as part of the first round of foreign policy consultations, Milatović expects the activities to resume soon, in order to fill all management positions in Montenegrin diplomatic missions as soon as possible.
