Dokić to NSD and PZP councilors: Either fulfill the Government's demands or shorten the mandate of the Assembly

Yesterday's election for the vice-president of the Municipality and the adoption of the Strategic Plan did not fulfill the requirements of the Government to a sufficient extent, announced the vice-president of the Municipality of Budva, Jasna Dokić.

She was elected as the vice-president of the Municipality yesterday.

"Given that a deadline of ten days has been given, after which, if they are not met, the government will dissolve the local assembly, I hereby inform the public that I do not want to assume the position of vice president because the crisis has not been resolved. I do not understand and do not support the position of the councilors from the club "For the future of Budva" who announced that they will not vote for the decision that President Milo Božović himself agrees with. The attempt to defend Milo Božović from himself, who said that he has no problem with the Assembly making a decision on temporary suspension, is a clear signal to me. that the government wants to be overthrown. I personally don't want to participate in that because I accepted the candidacy only at the request of Milo Božović in order to help resolve the situation," Dokić pointed out in the announcement.

She added that today we see that the crisis has not been resolved and that there is no will of the councilors to fulfill the Government's demands.

"Even though we personally do not agree with the government's actions, which we pointed out several times during the parliamentary session, we agreed to fulfill the requirements because the mayor asked us to do so in order to overcome the problems. NSD and PZP, within the legal deadline, come to the continuation of the session and let us fulfill the demands that have been made, and if they do not want the crisis to be resolved, let us make a gentlemanly decision to shorten the mandate of the Assembly, return the mandates to the citizens, so let the citizens judge us all." , said Dokić.

She said that compulsory administration is not an acceptable option for Budva and that such a scenario should be avoided in every sense.

"I hope there is enough political wisdom and courage to solve the situation ourselves, one way or another," concluded Dokić.

The President of the Budva Municipal Assembly (SO) Nikola Jovanović interrupted the session of the local parliament last night at 23 p.m. after a two-hour discussion, when Nikola Kralj, the president of the newly formed club "For the future of Budva NSD PZP", said that he would vote against the decision to remove the President of the Municipality of Budva, Milo Božović. from the function.

The deadline for making a decision on the removal of Božović from his post expires on Sunday evening, and if this does not happen, the Government will introduce forced administration.
