The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, was in Pljevlja today, where he attended the opening of the street that, since yesterday, has been named after pilot Eldin Hrapović instead of Bobovsko.
Hrapović was the first victim of the JNA in the war in 1991, when his helicopter was shot down near Ljubljana on June 27.
The proposal to name the street where he lived came from his family.
"Dino Hrapović is a virtuous, honorable knight of Pljevlja, who kept his oath, his word, his homeland until the end of his life. On such examples, on the examples of Dino Hrapović, the officers of the Army of Montenegro should be educated today. They should be educated on those examples young generation. We will do everything in our power to make the names of brave knights, honorable people, virtuous heroes in textbooks, where young people are educated, mandatory reading for young generations in Montenegro. That they know how to respect the given word and suppressed oath," said Mandic, addressing the family, friends and admirers of Eldin Hrapović.
After that, Mandić visited the Municipality of Pljevlja, where he met with the President of the Municipality, Darija Vraneš.
