Rodić: I appreciate the principled position of Vukićević, which is fully in line with the Decision on the formation of the Council of Europe

Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro Nebojsa Rodić pointed out that he appreciates the principled position expressed by Maja Vukićević, which is fully in line with the Decision on the formation of the Council of Europe, the Democratic People's Party (DNP) announced.

Today, Vukićević met with Ambassador Rodić in the Parliament.

Vukićević, head of the Montenegrin delegation in the Parliament of the Council of Europe, announced at the end of March that she would vote against Kosovo's entry into that European institution.

As stated in the announcement, Vukićević congratulated Rodić on his appointment and welcomed him to Montenegro and the Parliament of Montenegro.

"During the conversation, Vukićević and Rodić discussed the relations between Montenegro and Serbia, and noted that it is natural for two countries that have long been part of a state union and which are connected by numerous family and other ties to have the best possible relations. Ambassador Rodić met Vukićević with the political situation in Serbia, and they also discussed the developments in the Council of Europe, in whose Parliament Vukićević is the head of the Montenegrin delegation. Ambassador Rodić pointed out that he appreciates the principled position expressed by Vukićević, which is fully in line with the Decision on the formation of the Council of Europe. At the end of the conversation, they stated the readiness of both sides to work on further improvement of relations between Montenegro and Serbia," the announcement states.
