It is with great sadness that we remember the victims in Murin, who lost their lives a quarter of a century ago during the NATO bombing, said Deputy Prime Minister for Demography and Youth and Minister of Sports and Youth Dragoslav Šćekić.
As stated in the announcement of the Government of Montenegro, he and the delegation attended the memorial to the innocent victims of the NATO bombing in Murin in 1999.
"Montenegro must not allow the tragedy to be forgotten, we must not forget our innocent children who died. It must be talked about, so that something similar never happens again. It would be a crime if we forgot the crime, the crime against the families of the victims and everyone who survived the NATO bombs, the consequences of which are still felt today," Šćekić said.
He added that in addition to the victims, many civilians were wounded, "and the great material destruction made Murino one of the biggest killing grounds of the NATO bombing and the recent history of Montenegro. Eternal glory to all the victims of the NATO bombing."
