The example of Dragova Luka, where the residents diligently map the problems, but the authorities' answer is persistently absent, is the best testimony to how incompetent and unknown the local administration in Nikšić is, said Rajko Perović, a member of the European team for Nikšić.
"The best evidence of how incompetent and unknown the local administration in Nikšić is is the example of Dragova Luka and everything that the locals warn about every day.
The residents of this part of the city are diligently mapping the problems, but the response of those in power, who are responsible for solving these problems, is persistently absent. darkness, he can't see a finger in front of his eye. As a reminder, the President of the Municipality, Marko Kovačević, illegally, without the consent of the local Assembly and the Government of Montenegro, owed the people of Nikšić 9.5 million euros for the same lighting," said Perović in a statement sent to the media.
He added that today the residents of Dragova Luka, among others, pay 882 euros per piece of light bulb that does not work.
"The power line wires that pass through the tree line pose a great danger, and on the bridge, the covers from the lighting poles have been removed from the distribution boxes for months, and the wires are unsecured and dangerous for passers-by.
In addition to the lack of lighting, as a result of which people feel unsafe and insecure on the streets of Dragovoluc at night, the reason for citizens' additional concern are stray dogs, which, in an atmosphere of complete darkness, represent an additional danger, and especially, as the locals warn, for children from that part of the city ", Perović pointed out.
He also pointed out that the traffic infrastructure is in, as he said, a desperate state.
"The holes in the asphalt curtain in the side streets have not been repaired for three years, and illegally parked vehicles make it difficult to enter the bridge. In addition to endangering the safety and security of people, nature is also endangered. In particular, the bed of the Bistrica river became the black hole of the city on the day when was turned into a wild dump due to someone's negligence and inadequate reactions of communal services," said the member of the European team for Nikšić.
"It is clear that Dragovo Luka has been dominated by darkness, darkness, which citizens pay the most expensively possible, just as they pay dearly for communal services, while the intoxicating smell of garbage spreads through Dragovo Luka, all thanks to the ignorance, incompetence, arrogance and stupidity of those who today they run the city.
That's why in the local elections, the local rulers will get an adequate answer, the only ones who, after showing that they know nothing, will become part of the political past in the city under Trebjes," concluded Perović.
