The MP of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Oskar Huter, said at today's parliament session that the former chief special prosecutor (GST) Milivoje Katnić, who is on hunger and thirst strike, should defend himself alive and that his right to inviolability of life must be recognized.
He said that the right to life or the inviolability of life is an elementary human right, which is recognized in all constitutions. He hopes, he says, that this right "is still recognized in Montenegro."
"We are not beasts, but people. What is often said to the DPS is a simple lie - when they say that we defend this or that. We defend principles. Whoever has violated the laws should be held accountable. But he should be held alive. Is anyone The goal is to judge and judge a dead man here? When did Montenegro rejoice and celebrate someone else's suffering? That is not Montenegrin, nor human rights. Everyone has the right to life, and let's appeal together from here - to judge the people, but the living. Any GST, current or future, should be defended alive... We must not agree to someone else's suffering and remain silent," said Hutter. .
Member of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD), Slaven Radunović, said that as a representative of the former Democratic Front (DF), the group that "suffered the most under Katnić and would have the most reason to be angry with him", he is telling him that no one from the former DF - and he does not want evil. He said that he wishes him a healthy and long life and the opportunity to answer before the court "for all the crimes he committed".
"If necessary, we from the Front will give him blood every day, so that he remains alive and healthy. We want to see him when he answers and when one day he deals with Sinđelići and Velimirovići", pointed out Radunović, alluding to some of the actors of the case "state coup", in which the leaders of the former DF are being tried for attempted terrorism on election day 2016.

Recalling that in 2018, Katnić arrested one of the leaders of the former DF, Nebojša Medojević, because he did not agree to testify in the cases opened due to his statements, and that Medojević then went on hunger strike for 13 days, Radunović stated that they "made stunts".
"When (NSD leader Andrija) Mandić went on strike in the Parliament, there were stories that they were bringing him greasy burek. As for Mr. Katnić, he reacted then (during Medojević's strike) by saying - 'it's nothing it's terrible, someone accuses you, detention is for people, if you're guilty, you won't answer. And now that he's arrested, it's a legal and legitimate way to fight. But let's have the same standards I do not support him in this because I wish him a long life and health. If he needs medical help, we are all here, we have good blood, just so that he is alive and healthy and that he is responsible for all the wrongdoings - he and his colleagues concluded. is Radunović.
