The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, congratulated Gordana Siljanovski-Davkova on her victory in the presidential elections.
He pointed out that she is the first woman in that position.
"Friendly relations between North Macedonia and Montenegro are based on the mutual trust of our peoples. With the wish that you successfully perform the duties of president, I look forward to working together to strengthen good neighborly relations and the European perspective of the entire region," Milatović wrote on Iks.
In her reply, the President of North Macedonia stated that the relations between the two states are "a rare example of perfect cooperation between two Balkan nations".
"Regional cooperation is one of the pillars of my program and I hope that together we will complete the path of our countries towards the European Union," he wrote.
