The Europe Now Movement (PES) and Democratic Montenegro, regardless of the flagging of European and democratic in their names, did not attend the event that reminded of the victory of civilizational values, on which modern Europe rests, it was announced today from the Municipal Committee (OO) of the Democratic Party socialist (DPS) Bijelo Polje.
"Slobodarsko Bijelo Polje is also celebrating this year May 9, Victory Day - a day that is engraved in the national memory as a guide to the patriotism and love of our ancestors for their homeland. This day is the day of our tradition, national identity and emotions, which connects us with Europe as well as eight decades ago when the joint victory of our people was celebrated with the allies. At a moment when we proudly remember the heroism of Voj and Muh, who went to death with the idea of freedom, it remains unclear to the citizens why the parties with democracy and Europe in their name ignore the events that European values are being celebrated," the announcement states.
DPS Bijelo Polje added that disrespecting this day means neglecting the glorious history and victims who paid the greatest price in the fight for freedom and democracy.
"In the end, it remains to be noted that the Europe Now Movement and Democratic Montenegro, regardless of the flagging of European and democratic in their names, did not attend the event that reminded us of the victory of civilizational values, on which modern Europe rests. Unlike them, we firmly we stand on the values of anti-fascism, on which the European Union was founded," the announcement concludes.
