The Constitutional Court will rule on the appeal submitted to the Constitutional Court by the leader of the list "For a better standard - Vesko Radenović". Veselin Radenović, for local elections in Andrijevica, after which the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) should continue the cycle of drawing lots, scheduling and publishing the results of the collective electoral list.
Radenović's list has a shortage of women on the list, which is why MEC Andrijevica ordered that the deficiencies be corrected, so that they could confirm the electoral list.
The Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament stipulates that among every four candidates, according to the order of the list, there is one "candidate belonging to the less represented sex".
The Constitutional Court has not yet requested a statement from the State Electoral Commission (SEC), after which the 48-hour period begins to run, in which the US should state its opinion on Radenović's appeal.
Radenović is a former member of the SDP in Andrijevica, who joined the opposition coalition led by the SNP in 2010, which is why he was expelled from the party.
"When assessing the fulfillment of the legal requirements of his electoral list, the MEC assessed that it contained deficiencies. In accordance with the law, it reached a conclusion by which the applicant of the list was invited to eliminate the deficiencies within the deadline of 48 hours provided by the law," the president of the MEC told the News. Veselin Vulević.
He said that Radenović corrected the indicated deficiencies and resubmitted the amended electoral list.
"The commission was once again obliged to assess whether the legal conditions we indicated were fulfilled. However, he did not comply with one deficiency related to the arrangement of the less represented gender in accordance with Article 39 of the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, and the Commission assessed that he did not meet the conditions for his election list to be confirmed, and issued a decision on this and handed it to Radenović. said Vulević.
Radenović submitted a complaint to the State Election Commission (SEC) within the legal deadline, which the SEC rejected as unfounded.
"In the decision rejecting his complaint against the decision of Andrijevic's MEC, the SEC instructed him that he can file an appeal with the Constitutional Court," Vulević said.
The holder of the list then filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court, about which the Andrijevica MEC was informed on Monday morning.
Vulević said that they cannot continue the cycle of drawing lots, scheduling and publishing the decision of the 'summary electoral list' until the Constitutional Court decides whether Radenović's list is legal.
For the elections scheduled for June 2, eight electoral lists were registered.
"If the court determines that the list is not legal, and then we act according to that decision, it means that that list will no longer be a participant in the election process," Vulević said.
United Montenegro will participate in the election race, whose list holder is the president of the local committee of that party Milovan Dukić, the group of citizens "For the future of our children", whose list he leads Ivan Radojević, as well as the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), on whose list he is first Srđan Masović.
The list was submitted by the coalition "For the future of Andrijevica" - New Serbian Democracy, Democratic People's Party, True Montenegro and Free Montenegro, led by Miodrag Čukić, as well as the Group of voters "For a better standard", where Veselin Radenović is first on the list.
The Socialist People's Party (SNP) and the Democrats will perform under the slogan "Courageous, determined, responsible - Andrijevica is asking", and they will be led by the current president of the Municipality Željko Ćulafić (SNP). The Europe Now Movement (PES), led by a member of parliament from that party Dragana Vucevic, will perform under the slogan "New chance for Andrijevica". Vasojević's movement "Unification" also submitted to the list, and he will lead them Vesko Raketic.
The government introduced forced administration in Andrijevica on April 17, after which the head of state Jakov Milatovic called the elections.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) recently announced that there are 3.831 voters on the voter list for the elections in that municipality.
