The club of councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) invited the local government in Pljevlje to organize the celebration of Montenegro's Independence Day on May 21.
"We hereby invite the leaders of the local government, the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja Darija Vraneš (DF), the President of the Municipal Assembly of Pljevlja Jovana Tošić (Democrats) and the Vice President of the Municipality of Pljevlja Darko Gazdić (PES) to organize the celebration of the Independence Day of Montenegro, because if they are able to organize public holidays of neighboring countries, I guess they will also their own," the announcement of the Club of DPS Councilors states.
They said that on Tuesday, May 21, Montenegro will celebrate Independence Day and 18 years since it restored state independence in a referendum in compliance with the strict rules of the international community.
"In that process, the citizens of Pljevlja made a significant contribution, and later repeatedly confirmed their determination by voting for parties and coalitions that inherit civic and European values. Unfortunately, we witness every day that the change of government in Pljevlja did not only bring new personnel solutions in key positions, but also change in the strategic commitment of our city. In the first days after the takeover of power, a confrontation began with the civic character of Pljevlja, with anti-fascist values and with a condescending attitude towards the state of Montenegro," reads the announcement of the DPS councilors' club in the Pljevlja municipality.
