The Democratic People's Party (DNP) states that the Resolution on Srebrenica was a complete fiasco in the United Nations General Assembly, DNP spokeswoman Jovana Todorović announced.
She emphasized that with this act, the Government of Milojko Spajić entered the darkest pages of Montenegrin history, declaring Montenegro to be, as she stated, a genocidal state.
She said that the party fully understands the dissatisfaction of citizens and their announced gatherings due to today's vote in Montenegro.
Todorović added that in accordance with the earlier announcement, the DNP Presidency will inform the public about its further moves in the next few days.
"The UN has a total of 193 members, at today's UN General Assembly 171 countries voted. Only 84 countries voted 'for', 68 countries abstained, and 19 countries were against. While 22 countries did not vote, which means that a total of 109 countries did not vote for the resolution or 56,5% of the UN members did not vote 'for'. We can conclude that 2/3 of the world's population did not vote 'for' unprecedented pressure from Germany, yet most countries resisted the attempt to revise history," Todorović said.
She pointed out that, as she says, unfortunately, among these 84 countries that voted "for" is Montenegro.
"It is especially frustrating that Germany, explaining the Resolution, referred to Montenegro and its shameful amendments, one of which was modified and the other was rejected, thus using our country as a dagger for the first attack on Serbia," concluded Todorović.
