In these elections, we will decide whether we will go back ten years ago, when a corrupt regime ruled against all of us who wish Budva well, or whether we will go forward and build an open Budva where decisions are made exclusively in cooperation with the citizens, the incumbent said in an open letter list "For the future of Budva - Budva open city" Mladen Mikijelj.
According to him, in these elections we are facing the danger that the remnants of the corrupt Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) will retake Budva with the help of their satellites and phantom list.
"What we absolutely must not allow is for this interest group to return to power. This can only happen thanks to the support of new allies who know very well that no one else wants them and that they have to be with the DPS. This would isolate Budva again, disunite community and brought uncertainty to our lives. Budva needs a president who does not divide people into good and bad in order to get hold of power. Budva needs a president who is among the people builds bridges of trust and listens carefully to their needs", emphasized Mikijelj in an open letter.
As the director of the Public Enterprise for the Management of Maritime Resources, as he emphasized, he showed that the interests of the citizens are his first priority and that he will not back down from decisions and moves that bring good to Montenegro due to personal comfort.
"That's why 20 times more money is flowing into the state budget today than when the DPS was in power, and the ferries were managed by people close to the then state leadership. Over the past few years, Budva has made a significant step towards open and fair local government. Projects that were aimed at to the progress of Budva are an indication of what we can achieve when we unite with a clear goal and sincere intention. My obligation to you is to continue to build an open Budva in which the citizens decide, not the politicians allowed us to go back ten years?", concluded MIkijelj.
"Returning Port of Budva into the hands of citizens is an example of unity, stability and progress"
The initiative to return the Port of Budva to the hands of the citizens represents an exceptional example of the unity, stability and progress achieved by the city of Budva. The future president of the municipality of Budva and the current director of the Public Enterprise for the Management of the Maritime Assets of Montenegro, Mladen Mikijelj, during his three-year work, set three key goals regarding the return of state resources to the ownership of the state and its citizens - Vektra Boka beach, the ferry line Kamenari - Lepetane and now , Port of Budva.
This is stated in the announcement of the electoral list "For the future of Budva-Budva open city-Mladen Mikijelj".
"We take responsibility for this very important site, which will be more and more active every day, so that it is open not only for the citizens of Budva, but for tourists and all those who want to come to Budva. Through an open port, Budva will be a metropolis not only of Montenegrin tourism, but also of the entire Adriatic metropolis. By returning the Port of Budva to citizens, we are opening the door to new jobs that will support the economic prosperity of the local community. This step symbolizes our unity in the goal of sustainable development, providing stability through control over important resources and paves the way for progress that will make Budva an even more attractive destination. United in this endeavor, we are building the foundations of a stable and promising Budva for all its residents and visitors," the coalition states.
