Đorđe Zenović, the holder of the list of Democrats in the local elections in Budva, said that preliminary data show that they won the same number of mandates as in the previous elections.
He said at the press conference that every vote in support of that party is "an absolutely pure vote that was not obtained by blackmail, pressure or in any other way" and that for this reason he is particularly proud.
"Without us, the government in Budva cannot be formed," he said.
"We will see how the negotiations will proceed after the official announcement of the results. As we announced, with whom we can and cannot, we have red borders below which we cannot cross. The fact is that new political groups appeared in these elections that did not participate in the previous , and for that reason this result is an additional incentive to continue stronger," Zenović said.
"It is certain that in the coming period we will raise this city to its rightful place," he said.
Zenović said that it was crucial that "in the fierce competition of official abuses" in the previous days, they managed to keep the number of mandates from the previous elections.
When asked by TV Vijesti whether he will be able to sit down at the negotiating table with those people, he said:
"We will work with everyone... When the election results are official, we'll see. We'll definitely agree, we have some limits below which we won't cross, demands that primarily concern the public interest and what Budva has to fulfill in the next four years. We are open to conversation with everyone, we'll see who will call us first, we're definitely here".
