Member of the Citizens' Movement URA, Miloš Konatar, announced that he expects the support of all members of the House of Commons Fund Bill, which will be on the agenda of tomorrow's Assembly session.
"Tomorrow is the continuation of the regular session of the Assembly and on the agenda under item 13 will be the Proposal for the Law on the Housing for All Fund." For us at URA, it is currently more important than any resolution that is mentioned these days, because they are about solving life's issues," said Konatar at the press conference.
He reminded that the proposed solution envisages that all citizens who do not have a solved housing issue will solve their housing issue on favorable terms through the establishment of a state fund.
"The fact that a state institution or fund will be formed is the best guarantee that it will be an action that will enable all citizens to buy an apartment in Montenegro," Konatar said.
He thanked his colleagues from the opposition because, according to the Rules of Procedure, it was a joint proposal of the members of the opposition and as such it was on the agenda.
"We have no intention of privatizing and tying this problem to us. We have witnessed how difficult it is, not only to buy an apartment, but also to rent it," said Konatar.
He added that the URA submitted, among other things, a proposal to supplement the agenda, and it is about changes to the Pension and Disability Insurance Act (PIO), which provides for an increase in the minimum pension for proportionate pensioners to EUR 450.
"Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced that from January 1 next year there will be an increase in the minimum pension for proportionate pensioners. I am glad that he accepted our proposal", Konatar said.
He said that the URA's bill stipulates that its application will begin on January 1 of the following year and that it will be EUR 450.
"In order not to look at Spajić's goodwill if he will fulfill his promise, tomorrow is a test for all those who support the Government to support what Spajić said by adopting these changes," Konatar concluded.
