During last night's debate on the dismissal of the current president of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Omer Bajraktari, tear gas was thrown into the hall of the Ulcinj Municipal Assembly (SO).
After that, the councilors left the hall in front of the Municipality building, and there were also ambulances and police vehicles.
Police officers took statements from councilors to determine who caused the chaos, unprecedented in the Ulcinj parliament.
At the same time, the electricity went out in the Municipality building as well as in the entire street that gravitates to that part of the city...
For now, it is not certain whether the session will continue...
The head of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj, Denis Zvrko, told Vijesti that police officers are determining whether tear gas, pepper spray or some other substance was thrown in the SO hall.
He confirmed to Vijesti that the prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident.
"The prosecutor's office gave an order to the police to collect information from all the people who were in the hall, to exclude the recordings from the video surveillance in the SO hall, if there are any, but also from the TV crews that recorded the sessions," Zvrko told Vijesta.
