President of the Civil Movement (GP) URA Dritan Abazović accused the Minister of Justice Andrej Milović of "wanting to return Montenegro to the era of Milivoj Katnić and Ivica Stanković" with the proposal of the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office.
He said this at today's plenary session of the Assembly, where the amendments to the twelve laws that are necessary for obtaining IBAR are being discussed.
Abazović pointed out that, precisely with the passing of that law, Vladimir Novović became the head of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
"If the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office had not been adopted in 2021, Katnić would still be at the head of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, and we would not have any results, the drug cartels would be protected," said Abazović and pointed out that he is in favor of changes in the SDT in the most deserving 43rd Government. The leader of GP URA characterized Milović as someone who "has been in charge of protecting the mafia from the first day", but also pointed out that he "started a campaign against the head of the Special Police Department (SPO) Predrag Šuković from the first day, which was a secret attack on Novović". . Abazović also reminded that the Minister of Justice promised that he would step down from his position if Predrag Šuković remained at the head of the Special Police Department.
"We are returning to the time of combinations, support for Duško Golubović and Zoran Lazović, and the era in which the people who captured Montenegro will rule. Such solutions are offered by Milović under the auspices of IBAR that must be quickly adopted. No one is against IBAR, but it is not obtained by striking, but by delivering results," Abazović pointed out.
Milović said that "today is the most difficult day in Abazović's life because the former head of the criminal police who mentioned him in the SKaj correspondence was arrested."
"Since he announced the popcorn, he lost Ulcinj, he barely passed the census in Budva, and he didn't even participate in Andrijevica. The man who mentions him on Skaj was arrested. Milović said that Novović was also part of the working group that created changes to the law, but also that he is afraid that Milorad Marković was obstructed on Wednesday because Abazović is a man who "was aggressively against him in the beginning".
"You wanted your prosecutor to get a third term. Proposed unconstitutional solutions and previously prevented him from becoming acting VDT. When you saw that you lost the war, then you started to support him even though foreign diplomats asked why the story was being created about that man who was being beaten in the most down-to-earth way. "You are itching that the one you didn't support in the beginning has a key role in the Prosecutor's Council today," Milović said. Commenting on the local elections in Budva, Abazović stated that his party remained at its result, while Milović's former party (PES) fell to 6.9 percent, but also that it "burned a man who had capacity", alluding to Montenegro's chief negotiator with the EU, Đorđe Zenović, who was the holder of the PES list in that coastal municipality. HE added that PES "runs away from elections".
The president of GP URA also referred to the situation in Ulcinj, Abazović said that "he is doing well in the opposition" and that the government changed "through the medium of a lawyer who represents two men from the top of the criminal pyramid who managed to convince one man who tenant of the beach where narcotics are sold". Responding to attacks to obstruct Marković, Abazović said that he voted for his election as the supreme state prosecutor. PES deputy Boris PEjović also joined the discussion, who told the leader of GP URA that he was the only deputy in the Sky correspondence, and that his attacks that PES is returning Montenegro to the DPS era are unfounded "because he became the prime minister with the votes of the deputies and parties".
Pejović also added that Abazović was at conferences on cryptocurrencies, and that today he is attacking PES for wanting to make Montenegro a "crypto paradise". Speaking about cryptocurrencies, Abazović pointed out that he is for innovation, but not for manipulation. He pointed out that the crypto machine that existed in Tivat during his government was sealed as illegal, and that the premises of the club where it was located were visited by members of PES, including the current Prime Minister Milojko Spajić. Milović commented that "Abazović does not stand for crypto paradise, but for crypto hell".
"The government led by Abazović is the most anti-European in the history of the Montenegrin integration process. That's what Brussels says - that the level of implementation of obligations from the European agenda is lower than the government of Zdravko Krivokapć," said Milović and added that "every accusation made by Abazović and his colleagues is a confrontation with the EC, VK, Novović Marković, the Ministry of Justice and all those who worked honestly".
The President of the URA GP told the Minister of Justice that the legacy of his Government was "the beginning of the functioning of the SDT and SPO, the fact that 'big fish were behind the bars', the surplus in the budget coffers and the fact that there were no national tensions during his tenure mandate", and to address the parliament for "failure to fulfill the European agenda".
He added that "Montenegro will receive IBAR because the EU needs a 'positive story' in the pre-election period".
"The international community was against replacing Katnić, so when Novović delivered the results, they said it was the right move," said Abazović.
The leader of GP URA attacked PES for working for the "mafia and big capital" and that among them is a deputy whose property was blocked by SDT.
Milović told Abazović that he was guilty of insulting other people who created these laws, and that he proposed the law on confiscation of property without any agreement with the European Commission.
"In the war that you and certain non-governmental organizations are waging with me, you are not interested in people who are professionals and who have worked for decades in the judiciary," concluded the Minister of Justice.
