Montenegro continuously and actively contributes to the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Cyprus (UNFICYP), and its officers are recognized for their dedication and professionalism, said Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović.
During his official visit to Cyprus, Milatović spoke with five Montenegrin police officers participating in the UNFICYP peacekeeping mission.
"Montenegro continuously and actively contributes to this peace mission, and our officers are recognized for their dedication and professionalism," said Milatović on the X social network.
As he said, in the conversation with Montenegrin officials, the importance of their engagement in maintaining peace and stability was highlighted.
Milatović said that, on his initiative, Montenegro's participation in the mission in Cyprus will be strengthened by sending three members of the Montenegrin Army.
"Which will make an additional contribution to the UN mission in Cyprus, and contribute to the reputation of Montenegro on the international scene," said Milatović. (end) nim
