Today, in the key decision-making places in the state of Montenegro, you have people who from positions of authority are collapsing the foundations of this state, announced the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković.

DPS announced that at the Municipal Election Conference, DPS Kolašin elected members of the Municipal Board, and that the conference was opened by Živković.

The announcement states that "by apostrophizing the importance of all elections, even those within the party", Živković "reminded those present of where he can make the wrong choice".

"Today, in key decision-making positions in the state of Montenegro, you have people who, from positions of power, are collapsing the foundations of this state. Power can be exercised by all those who are given the opportunity to do so by the citizens. And they got it. We have nothing against it if those people are ready to put their personal integrity and professional authority into the function of building our country as a better, fairer and more beautiful place to live. On the contrary, they are calling for the collapse of Montenegro from the position of the authorities," said Živković, adding that they are increasingly supporting that claim. statements by the parties in power that the Law on Citizenship, state symbols, street names, etc. should be changed.

He said that the anti-fascist heritage of Montenegro is being suppressed.

"Every day, in every place, they implement their ideas and ideology and they don't hide it. Just as one of their leaders, Andrija Mandić, said – our goal remains the same, only the paths are different, said Živković.

The press release states that "Živković admitted that the DPS, as a state-building party, may not have reacted effectively enough to the dangers facing Montenegro".

"We have stopped some dangers - the attempt to introduce dual citizenship, confiscation of residence for a certain number of people, as well as some other situations, especially in the period of the last convocation of the Government, but in the future it will not be enough. Montenegro is never more endangered than what is happening from the regional centers and certain international power centers that are trying in every way to destroy the dignity of our country and cannot forgive the fact that it is on the Euro-Atlantic path today which stands as the only barrier to these policies that are trying to collapse Montenegro", said Živković.

The president of the DPS said that before August 30, 2020, the DPS indicated that the Civic Movement URA would be a Trojan horse that would transfer part of the sovereignist votes to the cause of Greater Serbian nationalism.

"At that time, part of the citizens probably thought that the story about the alleged threat of our country, if the government changes, was superfluous. Here is what you have the opportunity to see four years later. Today, Montenegro is no longer independent, nor independent in the process of making its decisions. And you had the opportunity to see that in one of the shows, when the president of the neighboring country told us that since some political lists in Budva had quarreled, we will solve it. So they are no longer hiding opportunities in our country", emphasized Živković.

He emphasized that "the only adequate response to such actions can be provided by the state-forming parties, the largest of which is the DPS".

"That's why it's important to make every political decision today, tomorrow and every day, in order to preserve the assets built by previous generations," Živković concluded.
