The Montenegrin parties, with the exception of the Democrats, ignored yesterday's (Greater) Serbian messages from the All-Serbian Assembly in Belgrade, including the statement of the President of the Assembly Andrije Mandić - that he believes that in the future it could be considered that it would not be a gathering of only, as he said, two states.
Addressing the gathering entitled "One nation, one parliament - Serbia and Srpska", the leader of the New Serbian Democracy said that it is the duty of Serbian politicians from Montenegro to find a common language and, as he assessed, somehow make the small country better, more harmonious. and reconciled.
"I see that from election to election the citizens reward it, and I have no doubt that the future will be such that in the next period we can think that this will not be a meeting of only two countries, but that we will see that there will be more of us, that we will not be just guests at this meeting, but to be together, closest to each other, like hundreds of years ago", said Mandić.
Member of Parliament of Democratic Montenegro Anđela Vojinović she told "Vijesta" that Montenegro is an independent and sovereign country, a member of NATO, a country that is actively preparing for membership in the European Union, and that its future is clearly aimed at integration into European structures:
"With consistent affirmation of the improvement of regional cooperation in accordance with European standards".
Vojinović said that Montenegro will continue to build good relations with all its neighbors, "our neighbors, all friendly countries, but its strategic goal remains integration into the EU, which includes strict respect for the principles of independence and independence."
"This approach ensures stability, prosperity and peace in the region, which is in the interest of all citizens of Montenegro."
A SERB IS A SERB, NO MATTER WHERE HE LIVES
At the All-Serbian Parliament, the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska adopted the "Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People", which also mentions Montenegro.
The declaration consists of 49 points in which, among other things, it is stated that the Serbian people represent a unique entity, that the name of the nation is one and that it is impossible to change it. The Parliament, as pointed out, expects the full implementation of the process of national reconciliation and overcoming historical divisions within the Serbian people.
In the third article of the Declaration published yesterday by the media in Serbia, it is written that the All-Serbian Parliament, by consensus, appoints representatives of the Serbian people from Montenegro, the Federation of BiH, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, representatives of the Serbian people from Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, Australia, and prominent scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, athletes and national workers.
It also says that the All-Serbian Parliament believes that the Serbian people in Montenegro must be respected in accordance with their centuries-old presence in Montenegro and their current significant participation in the total number of inhabitants. It is also stated that the All-Serbian Parliament recommends selfless assistance to Serbian monasteries and churches in Dalmatia, Lika, Slavonia and other places, as well as in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
"The All-Serbian Parliament establishes that the name of the nation is one and that it is impossible to change it. Various imposed prefixes that were added before the noun 'Serbs' are rejected. Members of the Serbian nation have the right to call themselves Serbs, no matter where they currently live," the document reads.
AT THE MEETING "IN THE NAME OF THE SERBIAN PEOPLE"
Mandic said at the gathering that he was very happy to be able to attend that meeting on behalf of the Serbian people in Montenegro.
As he stated, a large delegation of Serbian political representatives from Montenegro was also present at the meeting, including Serbian deputies from the Assembly, presidents of municipalities and assemblies who are Serbs, directors or board presidents of large public companies.
"So, those people who were voted for by the Serbian people and who want to preserve the unity of this people, because we are Serbs from Montenegro like other Serbs, and we want to be viewed that way by those who do not live in Montenegro, but in Serbia, Republika Srpska or dispersion", said Mandic.
On Mandić's account on Iks, it was announced that there was a NSD delegation at the event, headed by him.
"After the prayer (which started the parliament), President Mandić, together with NSD MPs, mayors of municipalities and councils from our party, members of the cabinet, as well as directors from large companies from our country, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Miloš Vucevic in the Palace of Serbia", the announcement reads.
"WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME"
Mandić, as reported by the Assembly, said that there is "quite strange behavior", that "when someone makes you angry, then you put in the same basket the one who is closest to you, as well as the one who caused justified anger or did something against you damage".
"In the case of Montenegro, I would ask you to feel for your compatriots to whom we belong, who experienced all these sufferings of our people together with you, but we are not all the same in Montenegro. We strongly believe that we are the heirs of the historical Montenegro that held to great values", said Mandić.
In Montenegro, as he stated, not everyone thinks like that today, "but it is our duty, as Serbian politicians, to find a common language and to somehow make this small country better, more harmonious, reconciled with our neighbors, friends, relatives, and that is our task".
KNEZEVIĆ: SPAJIĆ TO RESPECT PRO-SERBIAN PARTIES
Mandić's coalition partner, head of the Democratic People's Party Milan Knezevic he said from the parliament that numerous delegations, as well as this event, demonstrate the unbreakable ties between Serbia and Montenegro, due to their common past and challenges.
"I believe that together we can build the future, regardless of everything that happened in the past few weeks and months, when some reckless and wrong decisions of the Government Milojko Spajić worsened relations with Serbia", Knežević said, as reported by RTS.
He pointed out that their presence sends a message that they are not a minority in Montenegro and that majority Montenegro does not support Spajić's decision.
Speaking about the Resolution on Srebrenica, Knežević reminded that Montenegro was not a co-sponsor of the resolution, but that it had submitted amendments, "which Germany was attached to".
"I believe that our presence today will open up new aspects of cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro," said Knežević.
He said that now it is Spajić's turn to respect the pro-Serb pauses that cannot pass the vote on the Resolution on Srebrenica.
"We want to sign an interstate agreement on dual citizenship, we want special and spiritual ties with Serbia and to create a basis for the resolution on Srebrenica to never happen again."
