Escaping from the control hearing at the Security Committee, the Supreme State Prosecutor (VDT) Milorad Marković in fact admitted that the work of certain prosecutors in the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) is still characterized by the methods of Milivoj Katnić and Saša Čađenović, said the spokeswoman of the Democratic People's Party (DNP ) Jovana Todorović.
"After yesterday's session of the Security and Defense Committee, at which the VDT informed the members of the committee that they would not attend the scheduled control hearing, we can only state that the initiative of MP Vladislav Bojović for the hearing of the VDT - and the SDT - was fully justified.

This claim of ours gains particular weight if we take into account the information that GST Vladimir Novović sent a letter to VDT - to take over the so-called case of 'coup d'état', which best speaks of the unwillingness of the 'reformed' prosecutor's office to end this shameful procedure by dropping the indictment whose signatories are in pre-trial detention," Todorović said in a statement sent to the media.
She pointed out that all this is happening on the Sunday of the scheduled hearing where the closing arguments in the "Coup d'état" case were supposed to be announced.
"There are no coincidences in bad intentions. Just as the behavior and obstructions of the chairman of the Committee for Security and Defense, Miš Laković, who, for reasons known to the public, collapse the role and importance of the committee, allowing the VDT - which was elected by the deputies, not to respond to the control hearing. After more than six months of his leadership of the Committee for Security and Defense, it is clear to everyone why it was insisted that this function should belong to him at all costs, because Mišo Laković was the ideal person to anesthetize the work of the committee, to stop any initiative of importance for the security sector , and prevent the control hearings of the highest state officials from the executive and judicial authorities," stated Todorović.
She said that the DNP has no intention of keeping silent about, as she said, more than obvious attempts to euthanize the Committee for Security and Defense, and publicly points to Miša Laković and his motives from the time when he led the anti-drug sector, and when Kavački and the Škaljarski clan flourished, and some high-ranking police officials became millionaires, prominent restaurateurs and political workers.
"After yesterday's scandal, we inform the public that MP Vladislav Bojović will vote for their hearing every time an initiative is submitted to hear high-ranking state officials from the executive and judicial branches," concluded Todorović.
