Montenegro and the United Kingdom cooperate successfully in numerous areas and the cooperation is based on a friendly and partnership relationship, additionally strengthened by the NATO alliance.
This was assessed at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Filip Ivanović, and Lord Stuart Pich, the British Prime Minister's special envoy for the Western Balkans, who is staying in Montenegro.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the focus of the discussion was on the activities that Montenegro implements in order to achieve foreign policy priorities, and the "commitment to continuous strengthening of partnership and cooperation with friendly countries and allies" was also emphasized.
"They also discussed the current situation in the region, and both sides pointed out the importance of cooperation in terms of preserving and strengthening stability, as a prerequisite for the further development and prosperity of the Western Balkans. The interlocutors confirmed their commitment to intensifying bilateral contacts, assessing that Montenegro and the United Kingdom successfully cooperate in numerous areas and to base cooperation on a friendly and partnership relationship, additionally strengthened by the NATO alliance," the announcement concludes.
